Du Fermier

Lunch and performance

Sunday 29th September, 12pm

Du Fermier Restaurant

42 High Street, Trentham

Join us for a three-course lunch at the acclaimed restaurant of chef, Annie Smithers, while you are serenaded with a three-course concert! Annie’s French farmhouse cuisine attracts lifelong fans, and her restaurant tables heave with delicious feasts mostly sourced from her own kitchen garden and local producers.

Genesis Baroque musicians Lucinda Moon (violin), Jen Kirsner (violin), Christian Read (viola), Brock Imison (bassoon), Samantha Cohen (theorbo), and Hannah Lane (harp) will perform chamber works from the German Baroque inspired by our May concert, Rare Fruits, including works by Schmelzer, Biber, Becker, and Rosenmüller. This really is a feast for all the senses.

Be quick to book for this event, as Annie's restaurant is very small - a meal at Annie's is like being served some of the best regional food in the country in a private living room - so places are limited!

The best little no-hat restaurant in Victoria. Annie Smithers’s little Trentham/French farmhouse kitchen is growing up, blossoming into an elegant, simple and deeply personal dining room. When my palate and enthusiasm wane and I find myself longing for a year in Provence, I book a table and let Smithers transport me there. First-class produce, faultless.
